On April 14, Zhou Bin, Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Party Committee, visited and investigated the operation situation of foreign trade enterprises, had discussions and exchanges with relevant parties, and studied and handled issues on the spot, sparing no effort to solve problems and relieve difficulties for the enterprises. Zhou Bin emphasized that it is necessary to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on opening up to the outside world and optimizing the business environment, firm up confidence, maintain focus, and with the concerted efforts of the government and enterprises, work hand in hand. Multiple measures should be taken to promote the linkage between domestic and foreign trade, improve quality and efficiency, accelerate the construction of new advantages in high-level opening up to the outside world, and provide strong support for the high-quality development of the whole city.
During the investigation, Zhou Bin pointed out that at present, unilateralism and protectionism are intensifying, and there are more uncertain and unstable factors in the external environment. In the face of difficulties and challenges, foreign trade enterprises need to act in response to the new situations and strive to explore new markets and new spaces. It is hoped that a large number of enterprises will firm up their confidence in development, base themselves on their own advantages, enhance their development resilience, actively adapt to the new situation and new circumstances, seize opportunities, respond scientifically, and strive to achieve higher-quality development.
